Who this covers

VendFeed is developed by Digital Den. This policy applies to the VendFeed Discord application and to vendfeed.dev. VendFeed is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tebex or Discord.

What VendFeed stores

The whole list is below. All of it is either a Discord identifier or store data your webstore already publishes.

• Your Discord server and channel ids
• The public webstore token for each store you add
• The store’s name, URL and currency
• A snapshot of the public catalogue: packages, categories, goals, servers and sidebar modules
• Per-server settings: which feed goes to which channel, the link style, whether prices are shown, the store-manager role, and the server’s store allowance

What VendFeed never stores

• Message content. Discord does not give VendFeed access to it. The bot has no technical ability to read messages, see your member list, or see who is online.
• A Tebex secret key.VendFeed reads your store through the public part of the Tebex API, using your store’s public webstore token. It never asks for, accepts or stores a secret key.
• Customer identifiers. Identifiers returned by the Tebex API are dropped. Only the display name your store already publishes on its own public sidebar is rendered.
• Payment details. Premium runs through Discord Premium Apps. Discord is the source of truth and no payment state is held by the bot.

How your public token is handled

The public webstore token is stored so the bot can read your listings on each scan. It is only ever shown masked, and never appears in a log line or a shared channel. /tebex add replies privately for that reason.

The public token grants nothing a shopper visiting your store cannot already do: it reads your listings and it can start a basket. It cannot see your revenue, your customers, your payment details or your settings, it cannot change anything, and it cannot be used to issue a refund or a command.

What the data is used for

Only to run the features you have switched on. The catalogue snapshot exists so the bot can tell what changed between one scan and the next, which is the entire basis of the feeds. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with a third party beyond the two services the bot necessarily talks to: Discord, to post messages, and Tebex, to read your public listings.

How long it is kept

For as long as the store is tracked. A store that stops answering is paused rather than deleted, so that its settings survive a temporary outage; the person who added the bot is sent one direct message with the cause and the command that resumes it.

Deleting your data

Run /tebex remove in your server. That stops tracking the store and deletes its stored snapshot. Removing the bot from the server also clears the store-manager role.

If you would rather make the request in writing, or you no longer have access to the server, ask in the Discord support server, which is the only support route VendFeed offers. Include the Discord server id so the right records can be found.

Handling of store content

Text taken from your store is turned into plain text and shortened to fit before it is posted, so a package name containing markup appears as the characters you typed rather than doing anything in Discord. Every link is checked before it becomes a button.

Children

VendFeed is not directed at children. Using Discord requires meeting Discord’s own minimum age requirement for your country.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will also be announced in the support server.
